Job Title : Engineer
Location : Georgetown, KY
Duration : 26 months
No. of openings : 2 – 1 new opening and 1 backfill
Pay Rate : $40.00 - $54.00 / hr
Schedule : Mon to Friday 8 : 00 to 5 : 00, Weekends and OT as needed
Overtime : 20%
Travel : 10% - US travel and some Japan. Meet with machine manufacturers.
Project : This project this person will be involved in is specifically Engine machining. And within engine machining it will focus on the 5 inhouse Toyota machines :
- The block, the head, the crank, the camshaft, and the camrod.
Must Haves :
Education : Bachelor’s degree is a strong preference in Mechanical as 95% of the job is mechanical OR Technicians ( Industrial Mechanic ). Technicians such as Industrial Mechanics are more hands on, have a strong technical understanding.Experience : 3-5+ years of experience specifically in the automotive industry. Would consider other industries if they have powertrain specific experience.STRONG PREFERANCE : Toyota Powertrain or Toyota PE experience.Why? They are improving the 5 inhouse Toyota specific Machines. Having Toyota knowledge is very beneficial and would save on training.If no experience in Toyota, they must have multiple years in automotive.Powertrain experience.Project Management - This project will deal with new equipment specifications and installations. Understanding the design drawings and how it translates to make the process work. Developing process plans for production lines within the powertrain department with direct support from the Manager.Directly supporting other engineers or technicians through mentorship.Leading the cost planning, budget creation, machine specification, procurement, validation, installation, pre-productions trials and launch of production lines.Creating and maintaining detail schedule and budget for assigned area.Participate and lead cross functional working groups across the local facility and corporate departments to achieve project goals.Construction / Equipment installation
