A dynamic investment advisory firm in Boston is seeking an Operations Associate . The Operations Associate will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of trade processing, reporting, and operational controls. This individual will coordinate with internal teams and external partners to maintain smooth day-to-day operations and continuously enhance our processes and systems. This role offers exposure to all aspects of hedge fund operations and is ideal for someone meticulous, analytical, and eager to contribute to a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Support daily trade capture and coordinate with prime brokers, custodians, and fund administrators.
- Monitor trade settlements, research discrepancies, and resolve breaks with counterparties.
- Prepare and manage responses to investor and consultant due diligence requests.
- Assist with monthly and quarterly reconciliations, NAV and performance reporting, and annual audit deliverables.
- Process and track wire transfers, manage expense payments, and perform related reconciliations.
- Maintain productive relationships with external service providers, including administrators, auditors, and brokers.
- Recommend and implement process enhancements to improve operational efficiency and mitigate risk.
- Provide support for compliance reporting and regulatory filings.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.1–4 years of relevant experience in hedge fund, asset management, or financial services operations.Proficiency in Excel and strong quantitative skills.Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a small team.Proactive problem solver with a strong sense of accountability and initiative.Compensation :
