Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our healthcare team. The PTA will work closely with licensed physical therapists to deliver high-quality patient care across various settings, including inpatient facilities, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, home health, and rehabilitation centers. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology, along with experience in diverse patient populations such as geriatrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, and acute care. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' recovery journeys through personalized therapy plans and hands-on treatment.

Duties

• Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized care plans for patients of all ages.
• Provide therapeutic interventions including trigger point therapy, manual therapy techniques, and therapeutic exercises tailored to patient needs.
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment approaches as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on exercises, mobility techniques, and discharge planning to promote continued recovery at home or in other settings.
• Maintain accurate records of treatments administered and communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding patient status.
• Support patients during therapy sessions by ensuring safety and comfort throughout treatment procedures.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care strategies for complex cases involving geriatrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, or other specialties.
