Job description

Entryway is seeking a creative and motivated Social Media Intern to support our national and local market social media efforts. This role goes beyond creating graphics and posts—our intern will play an active role in shaping strategy, engaging audiences, and amplifying Entryway’s mission through compelling storytelling.

The ideal candidate is both a creative content producer and a thoughtful communicator who understands how to tailor messages for different audiences and platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in developing and executing social media content across Entryway’s national and market-level channels (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, and YouTube).

  • Create engaging graphics, short videos, and copy that reflect Entryway’s brand voice and mission.
  • Draft content calendars and recommend optimal posting times for maximum reach and engagement.
  • Monitor and analyze engagement metrics to inform future strategy.
  • Research social media trends and provide recommendations to keep Entryway’s content fresh and impactful.
  • Support live coverage of events, when applicable.
  • Collaborate with national and local teams to ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
  • Assist in engaging with audiences by monitoring comments, messages, and interactions.

Qualifications

Current student or recent graduate in communications, marketing, public relations, or related field.

  • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences.
  • Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools.
  • Experience with video editing tools is a plus.
  • Familiarity with social media scheduling and analytics tools (e.g. Sprout, native platform analytics).
  • Passion for social impact and interest in nonprofit communications.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects in a remote work environment.
