Job descriptionComplete pre and post trip inspections on trucks per DOT regulations Complete all required paperwork accurately and turn in daily Take empty equipment to designated site in exchange for full equipment and other returns Make store deliveries according to the shipping schedule Ensures load is secured with proper instruments (straps, load bar) Unload truck and take product to designated area Take empty trailers to designated site and exchange for full trailer to return to designated lot Deliver trailers to merchants and pick up full trailers Turn trailers in the yard as directed by management Complete inventory pulls slips on each trailer moved and turn in daily Comply with DOT regulations Keep truck and equipment clean and free of litter Other duties as assigned Periodical Duties : Attend Safety meetings Work special events Clean dock, outside shipping area and around ADC locations Work overtime (on short notice), holidays and weekends as assigned Work in all weather conditions WORKING CONDITIONS : (SITTING, STANDING, WALKING, OVERTIME, ETC.) Drivers are responsible for transporting good across our network of stores and Donation Centers.
We are looking for a Class A CDL Driver for local driving.
Responsible for driving tractor-trailer or straight truck to transport goods to retail stores / ADC Sites, performs clean-up around all sites, and exchanges ADC trailers among other responsibilities.
Minimum Requirements :
- Must be 21 years old or older.
- Must be Class A CDL certified. 1 year of overall driving experience and a good driving record required.
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions Good knowledge of DOT regulations, reading, writing and customer service skills.
- Ability to pass any drug and alcohol testing as well as initial and renewal DOT physical.
- Must pass criminal background check.
