Position Overview :

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for administering payroll processes and ensuring accurate and timely compensation for all personnel. This role includes preparing and processing payroll, maintaining accurate records, generating required reports, and managing related accounts payable, receivable, and client invoicing activities. The position requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and compliance with all applicable regulations.

Performance Responsibilities :

• Maintain and update payroll systems, policies, and procedures as needed.
• Process payroll and p ay personnel by directing production and issuance of paychecks or electronic transfers to bank accounts.
• Prepare and distribute reports, including summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and non-taxable wages.
• Manage Worker’s Compensation reporting and ensure compliance with related requirements.
• Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations by monitoring legislation and advising management on necessary actions.
• Report any issues with screeners' pay, or individuals logging information incorrectly to the  correct Supervisor and / or HR .
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and client invoicing processes.
• Acts with the highest level of confidentiality on behalf of the company and when acting in the personal interest of  personnel .
• Perform other duties as requested.
