Overview

Title : Security engineer with HSM / KMS (Utimaco, Thales, Entrust)

Project Duration : 12 months

Interview mode : one and done interviews (Webex)

Location : Plano, TX / Jacksonville, FL / Charlotte, NC / Chandler, AZ / Richmond, VA (Hybrid-3 Days Onsite) (local only)

They are looking for an Infrastructure Security Engineer with hands-on experience in HSMspecifically candidates who have worked with HSM products, preferably Thales. Experience with Python is also required.

Responsibilities

Seeking a senior security engineer with 10+ years experience working on encryption technologies leveraging HSMs and other key management solutions. Ability to design, deploy infrastructure, perform configuration and general management activities on KMS solutions both on prem and in the cloud. Develop client solutions to integrate and monitor cryptographic appliances and KMS offerings. Assist in POCs and other product / version certification activities.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in key management systems and tools (e.g., HSMs, KMS, PKI)
  • Strong understanding of cryptographic algorithms and protocols
  • Experience with security standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, PCI DSS)
  • Familiarity with cloud-based key management services (e.g., AWS KMS, Azure Key Vault)
  • Proficiency in Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Strong experience with automation using Perl, Python or PowerShell
  • Use of monitoring tools such as Splunk, Elastic, Prometheus / Grafana, ELK, etc.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Go) and experience with orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform)
  • Experience using HSM and KMS products from Utimaco, Thales, Entrust and related solutions (Gemalto, Vormetric, CipherTrust Manager)
  • Working knowledge of JIRA and Agile Scrum routines
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI / CD pipelines)
