Job Summary and Qualifications
The Computed Tomography Technologist performs routine and advanced imaging procedures utilizing ionizing radiation. You will provide high-quality CT images that physicians use for diagnosis and treatment. Our team is dedicated to supporting one another, and we are looking for a passionate individual who shares our commitment to meaningful patient care.
What you will do in this role :
Compassionately assist and position patients on the CT table.Start IVs for contrast injections when necessary.Assess image quality and make necessary adjustments.Provide patients with proper post-procedure instructions.Prepare the room between patients using aseptic techniques and ensure equipment cleanliness.Adhere to radiation safety protocols and guidelines.What qualifications you will need :
Graduate from an accredited program recognized by relevant accrediting agencies.American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT) certification or registry eligible with completion within six months of hire.Advanced CT Registry must be obtained within six months of eligibility.Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.Minimum of one year in Diagnostic Radiology or completion of an accredited Radiology program with clinical experience, preferably one year in a hospital CT department.Able to accurately complete radiology exams as ordered.Experience with Radiology information systems to access previous exam reports.Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with various individuals.Able to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.Ability to respond to on-call duties within 30 minutes.Research Medical Center is a 585+ bed hospital offering diverse medical services including obstetrics, emergency care, and specialized treatment centers.
