As a Physical Therapist in an Outpatient Orthopedic setting, you will evaluate and diagnose movement dysfunction in patients with musculoskeletal conditions such as sprains, strains, arthritis, and post-surgical recovery. You will develop individualized treatment plans aimed at improving mobility, reducing pain, and restoring function. Responsibilities include conducting initial patient assessments, performing comprehensive evaluations of strength, endurance, coordination, and balance, and implementing therapeutic interventions like manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and electrotherapy. You will also educate patients about their conditions, teach home exercise programs, document patient progress, and adjust treatment plans as needed. Collaboration with other healthcare providers and advising on the use of orthopedic devices are also key duties. Additionally, you may supervise support staff and participate in professional development activities to enhance patient care in the outpatient orthopedic environment.
