Civil Engineer Co-op, Transportation

• Work with a team of experienced civil engineers to develop preliminary studies and construction plans on innovative transportation projects in Ohio
• Gain an understanding of roadway engineering design elements by assisting with calculating cost estimates, developing transportation plans, and utilizing geometric design techniques
• Develop CAD knowledge and plan production skills from Professional Engineers while becoming familiar with the consulting engineering communitys role in creating and enhancing the transportation systems of Ohio
• Learn the basics of industry specific 3D modeling design software
• Maintain quality control of the work products and successfully complete assigned tasks on time and within budget

Skills & Qualifications :

• You are a current student in good academic standing pursuing a degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited college or university and have completed at least one year of your undergraduate degree
• You have a strong interest in transportation engineering; previous co-ops are a plus
• Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Proficiency or interest in learning PDF markup / review tools, such as BlueBeam Revu or Adobe Acrobat
• Experience with MicroStation / OpenRoads Designer orAutoCAD / Civil3Ddrawing software packages is a plus
• Excellent communication skills and a willingness to collaborate, learn, and grow
