Job Title : Manufacturing Technician
Job Description
Manufacturing Technicians, also known as Machine Operators, are responsible for operating shaping equipment including polishing, automatic and manual indexing head coring, scribing, dicing, sawing, grinding, and chamfering machines. The role requires setting up and operating up to three machines simultaneously, working with various sizes and thicknesses of optical filter plates.
Responsibilities
Operate and set up shaping equipment, including polishing, coring, scribing, dicing, sawing, grinding, and chamfering machines.
Determine the operation sequence for up to three machines and select appropriate programs.
Adjust machine speeds, feeds, and depths as required.
Perform machine adjustments as specified in production orders and replace dull or damaged tooling.
Provide shaped substrates within process capabilities and inspect / document when yields fall outside these capabilities.
Make standard configuration changes as necessary.
Deliver completed work to the next operational station.
Maintain clean, stocked, operational, and safe work areas and equipment.
Adhere to efficient production cycle times.
Essential Skills
1+ years of experience in a manufacturing-related role
US Citizenship
High School Diploma

Work Environment
This position operates in a fast-paced environment, with shifts from 8AM-4 : 30PM, 12PM-8PM, or 3PM-11 : 30PM. Initial training occurs on the first shift (7AM-3 : 30PM) for 3 to 4 months. This role is ideal for team members eager to contribute to meeting production goals.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Westford, Massachusetts.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00 / hr.
