Position Summary :
The Clinical Coordinator – Cardiac Cath Lab (CC-CCL) will assist the Assistant VP of Patient Services in overseeing the daily clinical operations of a multidisciplinary team. The CC- CCL will manage, develop and coordinate clinical programs and operational activities on a 24-hour basis.
Qualifications : Education :
Qualified in one of the following ways required.
- Bachelor’s degree (BSN) in Nursing required, Master’s preferred or;
- Completion of a 24-month AMA approved School of Radiology Technology required.
- Associate degree in health science (health related field) required.
Experience
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Cardiac Intervention required.Previous hospital leadership experience preferred.Licensure / Certification / Registration
If qualified as a Registered Nurse :
Current South Carolina (or compact state) licensure as RN (SCLLR) in good standing required or;If qualified as a Radiology Technologist :
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required (Advanced Registry preferred).Certification with the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association required.If qualified as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist :
Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credential required.South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA) license required.South Carolina Board of Medical Examiners (SCBME) license required.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) preferred.Duties & Responsibilities :
Review and monitor staffing levels and productivity, ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory standards, evaluate the educational and competency needs of staff, and assist with performance evaluations for team members.Evaluate the clinical practice of specified discipline and review clinical records to ensure standards of care and quality of services are provided.Develop and implement performance improvement activities and manage / resolve concerns of personnel, develop objectives and goals, assist with annual budgets, equipment, and supply needs, and will serve in rotation as administrator on call.Greet all patients and their accompanying family members when applicable and provide exemplary customer service.Display knowledge of program development and administration.Work effectively and collaboratively with colleagues, physicians, and department heads.Effectively utilize strong organizational skills.Consistently display effective verbal communication skills.Proficient understanding and use of technology / PC skills required.Regularly exercise independent judgement.PIab322f090399-30511-37764484
