The City of Midwest City is accepting applications for Firefighter. The incumbent fights fires, provides emergency medical services, and response to other emergency incidents to save lives and property. Performs related prevention, education, and support activities. Must possess H.S. diploma or equivalent, valid Oklahoma driver license and be insurable. Must meet medical requirements set forth by the OK FF Pension & Retirement System . EMT-B National Registry is required prior to start date. Preferred skills include FFI, FF2, Hazmat Awareness, Hazmat Ops, Intro to Technical Rescue, Vehicle Extrication, current CPR card, LPG Emergency Operations, WMD Awareness, Intro to Computers, & NIMS (IMS). Starting salary : $54,018.59 - $60,653.54 / yr. w / excellent benefits (Lateral hires from other departments will be considered with a 3 to 1 possible service credit with a max of 6 years - depending on qualifications, with recommendation from Fire Chief and approval of City Manager).
