Job Summary

BASIC FUNCTION :

Under the supervision of the Child Nutrition Services management team, assists Child Nutrition Assistant II and III in food preparation, service, and maintenance of a safe food production environment. Responsible for preparing, assembling, packing, reheating, and cooking food items, preparing salad bars, setting up service lines, serving meals, and performing essential food safety duties. Must keep necessary food safety recordkeeping and provide excellent customer service while ensuring district, county, federal, and state program regulations.

REQUIREMENTS :

• One year of experience in quantity food preparation;
• Experience in cooking and / or baking a wide variety of food items;

Alternatively, a combination of education and practical experience demonstrates the development of the required knowledge and abilities and

Valid Food Handlers Certification
