Surgical Assistant

Pride Health is hiring Surgical Assistants to support our client’s medical facility based in Rochester, MN, 55902. This is 3 months of contract opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Details:

• First assist the surgeon/physician during a variety of surgical procedures in a multi-specialty perioperative setting
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of surgical anatomy, aseptic technique, perioperative policies, and procedural guidelines
• Perform surgical skills including suturing, instrumentation handling, tissue manipulation, and proper patient positioning
• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon to ensure efficient and safe surgical procedures
• Adapt to unpredictable situations while maintaining patient-centered, high-quality care

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a Surgical Assistant Program – Required
• Relevant operating room experience within the past 3 years – Required
• Current BLS for Health Care Providers from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross – Required
• Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) through NCCSA or Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) through NBSTSA – Preferred
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision
• Strong communication skills with a patient-centered approach

Information:

• Location: Rochester, MN, 55902
• Job Type: Travel/Local Contract
• Contract Duration: 3 months with possible extension
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8–10 hour shifts (7:00 AM or 9:00 AM start)
• Hours: 40 hours/week
• Local's Pay Range: $40-$45.hour
• Travel Gross Pay Range: $2000-$2400/Week(*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.)
