Systems Engineer – Tactical PKI & Cyber / EW Integration

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage TPKI certification and key management processes, ensuring compliance with DoD standards and mission-critical cryptographic requirements.
- Support Cooperative Vulnerability Penetration Assessments (CVPA) and Adversarial Assessments (AA), identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies.
- Participate in the design, development, testing, and sustainment of secure EW and cyber systems across multiple Army platforms.
- Manage PKI Operations : Oversee the deployment, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of PKI systems, including certificate authorities (CAs), registration authorities (RAs), and key management systems.
- Certificate Lifecycle Management : Establish and enforce policies for certificate issuance, renewal, revocation, and auditing.
- Key Management : Lead tactical and enterprise key management processes, ensuring proper handling, storage, and distribution of cryptographic keys.
- Compliance & Governance : Ensure adherence to DoD, NIST, FIPS, DISA, and other relevant security policies, regulations, and frameworks.
- Team Leadership : Supervise and mentor a team of PKI engineers and administrators; provide technical direction and performance oversight.
- Incident Response & Risk Management : Respond to PKI-related security incidents, analyze vulnerabilities, and implement corrective actions.
- Integration Support : Partner with system architects, network engineers, and cybersecurity teams to integrate PKI solutions with authentication, encryption, and identity management systems.
- Documentation & Auditing : Maintain security documentation, configuration baselines, and support internal / external security audits.
- All other duties assigned.
Qualifications
Tactical Public Key Infrastructure (TPKI) Certification and Key Management.Demonstrated expertise in PKI standards, protocols, and tools (e.g., X.509, OCSP, CRL, HSMs, SSL / TLS).Familiarity with DoD or federal cybersecurity requirements, including RMF, STIGs, and DISA PKI policy (if applicable).Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, and identity management systems.Experience managing technical teams and leading enterprise-wide security initiatives.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.Comfortable operating within a laboratory setting.Excellent teamwork, organizational, communication, and collaboration skillsPreferred & Desired Qualifications
Military trained and experienced.A background in software engineering, DOW systems and cyber security.TS / SCI clearanceClearance :
DoD current security clearance; Secret or higher.Education & Experience :
Bachelors degree in a technology related field. Years of experience can substitute for a degree.12-20 years of direct relatable experience.Location :
