At Northpointe Bank, we believe your career should empower you — to grow, contribute, and find purpose. We’re hiring a Chief Credit Officer (CCO) to lead the Bank’s credit risk portfolio and serve as a strategic partner in driving growth, compliance, and operational excellence.
This role is ideal for a seasoned financial leader with deep credit expertise, warehouse lending knowledge, and the ability to integrate credit, operations, servicing, and capital markets into a cohesive growth strategy.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and oversee the Bank’s credit policies, risk management frameworks, and governance processes.
- Play a key role in product approval, ensuring credit standards align with growth and risk objectives.
- Monitor loan performance, delinquencies, and risk trends, while driving CECL modeling and analytics.
- Oversee warehouse lending approval, monitoring, and compliance, ensuring optimal facility utilization.
- Lead portfolio lending oversight, including policy exceptions, loan structures, and retained asset performance.
- Enhance default servicing and compliance, while supporting capital markets agreements and investor relationships.
- Advise the Executive Team and Board on credit risk, governance, and long-term growth strategies.
- Mentor and develop senior leaders across Credit, Servicing, Operations, and Capital Markets.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in commercial banking, credit unions, or specialty finance.
- Expertise in credit policy, warehouse lending, CECL modeling, and regulatory exams.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams across credit, operations, servicing, and finance.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse lending structures, portfolio credit management, and capital markets.
- Public company or governance experience strongly preferred.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic decision-making skills.
- High integrity, strong judgment, and a solutions-oriented mindset.
