FMM is seeking a motivated professional to fulfill our HVAC Apprentice position. FMM is a maintenance and construction company servicing both residential and commercial clients nationwide.
Job Summary : Responsible for assisting our service technicians in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC systems for commercial and residential properties.
Essential Job Duties : (Included but not limited to)
Assisting with all preventive maintenance, necessary maintenance and minor repairs to the HVAC systems on commercial and residential properties. Must have working knowledge of building mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems to ensure proper operations.Conduct periodic general preventative maintenance on HVAC systems. This includes normal lubrication, adjustment, cleaning, replacement of consumable parts (filters, indicator lights, etc) and periodic testing of equipment.Prepare and maintain maintenance logs and records. Familiarity with preventative maintenance and work order software systems.Perform all assigned work so as to ensure the safety of the building occupants and insure continuous operation.Assist with the install of new HVAC systems in both residential and commercial properties, ensuring proper operation and function.Able to install and perform preventative and repair maintenance on generators.Required Skills and Abilities :
Basic knowledge of electrical, HVAC, and mechanical skillsKnowledge of all commercial HVAC equipment (AHUs, VAVs, etc.)HVAC diagnostic and troubleshooting, maintenance, and installation skillsAbility to utilize iPad for work order distribution, teams meeting, email, etc.Strong work ethic and pride in work qualityAbility to be a team playerWillingness to work overtime as and when neededWillingness to learn and share their knowledge and experiencesEducation and Experience :
High School DiplomaHVAC Certification1-3 years of previous experienceAbility to handle multiple projects and make decisions using FMM's core values of Quality, Teamwork, Integrity, Safety, and VersatilityProficient in computer, text, and email skillsMay perform other duties as assignedPhysical Requirements :
Ability to lift 20-50 poundsAbility to regularly climb stairs and laddersAbility to work indoors and outdoors in hot or cold temperaturesAbility to pass a Fit for Duty ScreeningBenefits :
