A company is looking for a Variant Scientist III to join its team remotely.
Key Responsibilities
Perform variant interpretation using an in-house genetic evidence system to generate clinical reports
Analyze and interpret clinical and genetic information from various sources, including literature and databases
Develop and refine genetic content for a range of genetic disorders to support clinical offerings
Required Qualifications
Ph.D. in Life Sciences with 1 year of variant interpretation experience, or
Master's degree in a related field with 3 years of relevant experience, or
Bachelor's degree in a related field with 5 years of relevant experience
Experience in a CLIA diagnostic laboratory and familiarity with next-generation sequencing is preferred
Knowledge of hereditary pediatric disorders, ophthalmology, or carrier testing is a plus
