We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Electrical Designer to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and drafting electrical systems for various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role requires proficiency in multiple design software and a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles.
- Duties
- Develop complete electrical design packages including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low voltage systems for both design-build and plan / spec projects.
- Produce accurate drawings, layouts, single-line diagrams, and 3D models using AutoCAD, Revit, and / or BIM 360.
- Participate in design coordination meetings with GCs, MEP trades, and internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate with field leadership to ensure constructibility and alignment with means and methods used by union electricians.
- Perform code analysis and ensure compliance with NEC, Title 24, and project specifications.
- Assist with design development, permitting documentation, submittals, and as-builts.
- Contribute to value engineering efforts and provide design input that improves cost, schedule, or installation efficiency.
- Support estimating and preconstruction teams with design clarifications and scope definition.
- Attend site walks, pre-installation meetings, and project milestone reviews as needed.
- Collaborate with engineers to design electrical systems that meet project specifications and adhere to the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Utilize Bluebeam and NavisWorks for project coordination, review, and clash detection.
- Conduct system design for programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other electrical components.
- Prepare documentation for construction projects, including wiring diagrams, PCB layouts, and installation instructions.
- Perform drafting tasks to support the development of electrical designs from concept through completion.

Pay : $1.00 - $120,000.00 per year
