Achieve Beyond was founded in 1995 and is continuously growing to meet the needs of developmentally disabled children through our ABA, speech, occupational, and physical therapy. We currently offer our services in the entire metro New York area (including the five boroughs of NYC, Hudson Valley and Long Island) and Albany, New Jersey, Connecticut, Delaware, and the Virginia / Maryland / DC area. We specialize in conducting initial evaluations and providing ongoing services in home, community and clinic settings. Position : Physical Therapist
Location : Part Time Caseloads available in our clinic located in Fairfax, VA
JOBRESPONSIBILITIES :
Work involves developmental screening / assessment, physical therapy services and consultation with family members and other professionals working with the family.Educate family members and caregivers on different intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over at community settings.Work is performed in clinic based settingsFollow Individualized Service Plan, plan ongoing treatment, and interprets goals and treatment plan to parents and makes recommendations for further developmental assessments as neededParticipate in monthly agency staff meetingPrepares progress reports at six month intervals and annual reviewsMaintains client records and submit them to agency within established deadlines.Other duties assigned by immediate supervisor within scope of work.REQUIREMENTS :
Master's or Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy1-2 years of experience working in pediatricsis preferred but open to train new graduates. Must be able to work with some degree of independence within established policies, procedures, and professional guidelinesMust possess Virginia state license to practice Physical TherapyPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases including but not limited to driving personal vehicle, walking, and / or use of public transportation such as a bus or train.The ability to climb and descend staircasesThe ability to lift 10 pounds regularlyThe ability to sit on the floor, kneel, and / or crawl for extended periodsCompensation depends on experience and will be discussed during the interview process.
