Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Job Title

Inspect materials, truck, transfer, and store all materials to be shipped and / or received. Should also be capable of utilizing daily log books and have experience with computers and operational systems. Must interact with customers, exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrate the ability to resolve issues and conflicts. Position also requires the use of Power Truck equipment. Must also be able to (or trained to) safely change and store propane tanks. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis. (There is one item which weighs up to 72 lbs.) Ability to use / learn SAP functions in order to process inbound raw materials for GY Manufacturing.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Have knowledge of or ability to process material movements / inventory adjustments within SAP platform. Make necessary checks and verifications, handle paperwork and records involved, sign carrier freight bills, be accurate at figures, maintain inventory, sample materials received as required, open and unpack as necessary in checking materials and identify shipments according to purpose. Must be trained and knowledgeable in handling materials covered under HAZMAT regulations. Must interact with customers, exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrate ability to resolve issues and conflicts. Will perform any other operation necessary in efficiently carrying out the overall job assignment. Processing of inbound materials to include accuracy checks, printing of labels, logging information in Excel, and utilization of SAP System to produce inventory of assets and bill of ladings.

Qualifications

High school diploma.

Ability to read and comprehend instructions including, but not limited to, safety policies and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in individual and small group situations.

Operators must operate a computer and be familiar with the systems utilized, business email (MS outlook), Excel and Word.
