Position Summary :
The Sr. DevOps Engineer will play a key role in supporting and evolving the internal microservices platform for our client in the live entertainment industry. Reporting to the Principal DevOps Engineer, this role will focus on migrating legacy infrastructure to modern, automated solutions using Terraform and Azure, supporting production environments, and driving best practices in DevOps across a collaborative LATAM-based team.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Participate in daily standups (9am local time), review and work through sprint tickets (2-week sprints, 8 points / ticket, 40-50 team points / sprint)
- Build, migrate, and support Azure cloud resources using Terraform (IaC)
- Provide production support and troubleshoot issues, including monthly release support (6-7pm Pacific, once or twice a month)
- Automate infrastructure and application deployments using GitHub Actions
- Script in Python, Bash (most important), and PowerShell for automation and operational tasks
- Use Confluence for documentation and collaboration
- Support and monitor applications using Azure Application Insights
- Collaborate with a team of 5-6 engineers to create and maintain infrastructure as code
- Contribute to automation, migration, and modernization efforts for the Modern Elvis platform
- Engage in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and ticket estimation
