Key Responsibilities :
- Foster a culture of trust and respect among associates.
- Ensure every customer feels valued and appreciated by addressing their queries about products and services.
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members, both in writing and verbally.
- Utilize your pharmaceutical knowledge to guide recommendations to patients and prescribers.
- Accurately process and document verbal RX orders in compliance with State and Federal regulations.
- Fill, label, and bag prescription orders with precision.
- Evaluate prescriptions for patient safety and legal compliance.
- Provide essential drug counseling to customers and prescribers.
- Assist with third-party billing and ensure proper customer charges.
- Maintain complete and accurate records of RX information and deliver medications appropriately.
- Make necessary calls to prescribers and healthcare staff for prescription clarifications.
- Efficiently operate the RX computer system to streamline processes.
- Maintain accurate inventory and compliance in handling controlled substances.
- Promote proper immunizations to patients and engage in relevant clinical activities.
- Oversee inventory management and stock incoming orders properly.
- Support and supervise team members as needed.
- Ensure proper filing of prescription orders in accordance with regulations.
- Assist in conflict resolution with customers and employees in the absence of management.
- Generate and interpret department reports for operational efficiency.
- Handle administrative responsibilities in the absence of department management.
- Report customer or employee accidents to management promptly.
- Immediately notify management of pharmacy incidents, safety risks, or illegal activity.
- Maintain physical capability to stand for entire shifts and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Perform all essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Qualifications : Minimum :
Current pharmacist license in the state of employment with no restrictions.Graduate from a US School of Pharmacy or have passed a foreign equivalency exam.Successfully completed the NAPLEX exam.Flexibility to work at various locations as needed.Ability to travel independently.Desired :
Experience as a staff pharmacist is a plus.
