Position Overview

C&S Wholesale Grocers desires to create the most safe efficient and service forward fleet in the country. As a Professional Driver with C&S Wholesale Grocers you will start your driving career with the company by working with a Professional Driver Trainer (PDT) who will provide coaching and insight on the C&S Way which includes company and regulatory requirements. Once you have successfully completed our new hire training program you will maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through deliveries of product and services while performing all other assigned duties. All functions must be completed in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

LOCATION : Drop Yard in Wiles-Barre PA

$29 / hour

Flexibility is preferred with both start and end times as shift start times will vary depending on business needs.

Drivers will be responsible for supporting both shuttle work and outbound store deliveries as needed.

Bonus Opportunity

Earn a $5000 bonus after 180 days of continuous employment

Requirements : no preventable accidents perfect attendance and no safety violations during this period.

Shoe reimbursement starting day 1 $180

Start times 2 am-5 am Monday-Saturday operation work 5 of those days; off one additional day including Sunday

Description

• Utilizing the specialized skills developed with experience and the C&S Professional Driver Training Program you will operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle (semi-truck / eighteen-wheeler / box truck etc) applying knowledge of training and commercial driving regulations to transport and safely deliver product
• Driver will load and unload (ambient or temperature sensitive) product to customers on an average of 3-10 stops per day
• Driver will inspect document and ensure equipment is operable in compliance with all regulatory and company requirements
• Inspect equipment in accordance with regulatory requirements
• All other duties as assigned
