ABOUT THE ROLE :
The Sr. System's Administrator responsibility is to develop, implement and maintain the organizations in - house, co-located, cloud, and security infrastructure. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting all systems, services, hardware, and software.
WHAT YOU WILL DO :
- Oversees installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting, of all networks, servers, and cloud infrastructure components.
- Implements and maintains best practices configurations with a focus around high availability, zero trust security, and least privileged access.
- Collaborates with team members to provide full oversight of all enterprise systems.
- Collaborates with technicians and helpdesk employees to ensure knowledge transfer, training and adequate customer service is provided to stakeholders and end-users.
- Maintains relationships and negotiates with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure and maintain infrastructure and
- Researches, evaluates, and implements technologies that align with the business needs and compliance standards of the organization.
- Conducts research on emerging products, services, protocols, and standards in support of infrastructure procurement and development
- Leads technical requirements and implementation efforts for organization-wide projects.
- Manages, monitors, and maintains servers (virtual, physical and cloud), and their associated operating systems and
- Manages, monitors, and maintains all network infrastructure including routers, switches , wireless, and cloud components.
- Monitors the daily server and storage area network backups and replication at all CU facilities.
- Understands offsite business continuity and disaster recovery strategy.
- Assesses and mitigates vulnerabilities and risks on all systems and endpoints through update and patching strategy.
- Ensures policy enforcement is holistic in both cloud and on-prem environments.
- Administers and maintains end user accounts, permissions, and access
- Oversees security hardware and software including anti-virus and encryption solutions.
- Assists various departments when end-user hardwaresoftware problems requir e advanced knowledge (level 2 support).
- Develops, provides and updates documentation for departmental, auditing, and compliance obligations.
QUALIFICATIONS : Education
College diploma or university degree in a related field and 5+ years' work experience preferredRelevant technical certifications requiredExperience / Skills / Knowledge :
In -depth technical knowledge of Microsoft Cloud, Microsoft Server, Network Fundamentals, Security Concepts required.Must have 5+ years direct hands-on hardware & software troubleshootingMust have working technical knowledge of Microsoft server and workstation operating systems including Windows Server 2019& Windows 10 / 11 required.Must have working technical knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure Cloud required.Must have extensive application support experience with Microsoft Office and other common user productivityMust possess strong interpersonal skills, oral communication skills, and proven analytical and problem-solvingMust have strong service orientation skills in alignment with the Credit Union's mission and core values.Must possess strong time management skills and the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment required.Ability to conduct research related issues and products asMust be highly self- motivated andMust have experience working in a team-oriented, collaborativeOn-call availability for emergency evening and weekend support required.ABOUT :
