Employment Type : Full Time, 40 hrs per week, 7am-5pm , 4 days per week

Are you a skilled RN with a passion for cellular therapies? Ready to make a profound impact in cancer care—and elevate your career? Novant Health is recruiting an HCT & Cellular Therapy Apheresis Registered Nurse for our Transplantation & Cellular Therapy team.

What You'll Do :

• Educates and explains apheresis procedure and provides health teaching to patients and families.
• Performs apheresis procedures independently while following department / program policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements (ex. FDA, FACT).
• Administers pre-transplant conditioning chemotherapy regimens and pre-CAR T lympho-depleting chemotherapy.
• Performs hematopoietic cell transplantation and cellular product infusions.
• Maintains and cares for patient venous access used during apheresis procedure.
• Monitors patients daily post-transplant and post-CAR T.

What We're Looking For :

Education :   4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. BSN, preferred.

Experience :   Minimum of one year of apheresis experience in the collection of hematopoietic progenitor cells (HPC, Apheresis) and mononuclear cells (MNC, Apheresis), preferred.

Licensure / Certification : Current NC or compact state RN license, required.  Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certification, required.  Current (or actively pursuing) the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) and / or Blood and Marrow Transplantation (BMTCN) credential or the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Qualification in Apheresis (QIA) credentials, preferred.  Completion of ONS / ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate or equivalent within 6 months of hire, required.
