Position Overview

Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to provide support to students in Ypsilanti, MI. The Social Worker will provide counseling, advocacy, and social-emotional support, collaborating with teachers, certified paraprofessionals, and families to help students thrive academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities

Provide individual and group counseling to students

Assess student needs and develop support plans

Collaborate with teachers, certified paraprofessionals, and families

Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for social-emotional support

Maintain detailed documentation of student progress and interventions

Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters degree in Social Work or related field

State licensure or eligibility as a School Social Worker preferred

Previous school-based experience strongly preferred

Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
