Job Description & Requirements Specialty : NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care Discipline : RN Start Date : 12 / 08 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neonatal ICU (NICU) position requiring prior Level 3 or 4 NICU experience and an active or pending OR RN license. Responsibilities Work in a Level 3 or 4 NICU unit at a short-term acute care hospital Patient ratio is 1 : 3 in the NICU Floating required within hospital and to affiliated hospitals as needed Rotating day and night shifts every 2-4 weeks based on schedule, with schedule adjustments to ensure adequate rest between rotations Variable and rotating weekend shifts required On-call standby required when not needed on the unit Epic is used for charting; Epic experience is required Must have a personal vehicle for travel between facilities First-time travelers are welcome to apply Must commit to working at least 3 of the 5 major holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, or New Year's Day RTO is limited to 6 total days or 3 consecutive days; additional requests require approval and may delay offer All travelers are required to float based on the needs of the organization, including possible floating to nearby affiliated hospitals Scrub color is any color for NICU staff Parking is provided at no cost Pre-employment and annual training modules must be completed Requirements Active or pending OR RN license required Minimum of 1 year of Level 3 or 4 NICU experience Current BLS and NRP certifications required COVID and flu vaccinations may be required for consideration Required to provide two supervisory references covering at least one year within the last three years Must not have been a permanent staff member within the last 3 months if returning as a traveler Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel pay Experience using Epic EMR is required Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-641425.
