Correctional Technician

The County of Yuba is currently recruiting for the position of Correctional Technician . Vacancies exist in the Probation department and Sheriff's department.

The ideal candidate :

• Monitors security video and audio systems with accuracy and focus
• Efficiently processes inmate and juvenile intake and release procedures
• Enters and manages sensitive data in booking systems with precision
• Maintains clear, timely documentation and observation logs
• Communicates professionally with staff, inmates, juveniles, and the public
• Handles multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-security environment
• Follows policies and procedures with consistency and attention to detail
• Demonstrates sound judgment, reliability, and discretion
• Works collaboratively to support facility safety and operations

Education and Experience :

MINIMUM : Equivalent to graduation from high school, some college level course work in law enforcement, criminal justice or a related field, or one (1) year of experience involving public contact, or general clerical such as filing, record keeping, data entry and / or typing.

Salary / Compensation : $3,654 - $4,020 per month
