Operations Manager

Our client in Perrysburg, OH is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the shop floor, Project Managers, and Quality department. This role is critical to ensuring all areas of production run smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities :

• Work directly with and support the Plant Supervisor, Foreman, Shipping Manager, Project Managers, Quality and Safety Management to improve manufacturing processes and ensure all areas run efficiently.
• Monitor and evaluate costs, quality, and service with a hands-on, boots on the floor approach.
• Improve lead times with effective scheduling and asset utilization.
• Communicate daily with managers to find potential issues and proactively address them.
• Maintain employee retention by addressing issues quickly, identifying training opportunities, and providing continuous feedback on workmanship.
• Maintain safety and quality standards, encouraging others to do the same.
• Research and analyze new market opportunities, improve current customer relationships, and serve as the first point of contact for new customers.
• Continuously find ways to improve product quality and reduce waste / scrap.
