The Occupational Therapist (OT) is a professional who is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. The OT is ultimately responsible for implementation and documentation of interventions, outcomes, discharge plans and patient / family / care giver education. He / she collaborates with physicians and other members of the interdisciplinary health care team to provide continuity of care. The OT is responsible for the supervision of and delegation of tasks to appropriate individuals including technicians, students, and other customers of the organizations. The OT must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate patient care and is accountable to the policies and procedures of the organization Education : Graduate of an accredited school of professional occupational therapist education program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) License : NE OT License Certifications : BLS / CPR Certification.
