Job Summary

$40K start incentive, insurance on your first day, malpractice with tail, PSLF Program!The Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine division at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA, is seeking a board-certified / eligible physician with the desire to do advanced procedures, to enhance its growing Pulmonary Critical Care team. This full-time opportunity combines outpatient pulmonary care, inpatient pulmonary / critical care, and optional sleep medicine.

Job Duties

Key Responsibilities :

• 1 week ICU : 12-hour days (7 days; mostly days. Some swings / nights).
• 2 days off post ICU
• 1 week inpatient consults, studies, etc : 8-hour days (5-7days; days only). Call from home
• 2 weeks clinic, tele consults and fellow clinic : 8-hour days (volume : 12-14 patients / day). Blocked PFT reading time of 1 hour / day
• Typical clinic day consists of 6 hours of patient contact time and 2 hours of administrative discretionary time
• Opportunity to participate in clinics focused on ILD, PH, COPD, Respiratory Failure and Inspire

Position Details

GEISINGER MEDICAL CENTER (GMC), located in Danville, Pa., the largest tertiary / quaternary care teaching hospital in the region, is licensed for 475 beds, including 89 pediatric beds in the Janet Weis Children's Hospital. GMC, a Magnet Hospital, maintains the region's only Level I Regional Resource Trauma Center with additional qualifications in pediatrics. GMC offers an array of highly specialized medical and surgical services, including neurosciences, cardiovascular services, transplantation, women's health (in the Women's Pavilion), oncology and orthopaedics. The Hospital for Advanced Medicine serves as an integrated center for the most critical patients. Outpatient services are available on and off campus.
