Join a 13-week travel Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) assignment in Raleigh, NC, with 8-hour day shifts in a skilled nursing facility. The city offers a hub for outdoor recreation with greenways, lakes, and cultural events year-round.As a PTA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to implement treatment plans, assist in patient assessments, and help patients achieve movement goals. Responsibilities include documenting patient progress, educating patients and families on exercises, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals. You may also prepare therapy equipment, assist with stretching and massage, and ensure a clean and organized treatment area. PTAs work with patients of all ages, helping them recover from injuries, manage pain, and regain mobility.To qualify, you must complete a Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education-accredited program and pass a state-administered national exam for licensure. Recommended skills include knowledge of anatomy, physiology, exercise physiology, biomechanics, and communication.
