Clinical Optometric Technician

Colleyville Vision Associates is seeking a Clinical Optometric Technician to join our team and play a vital role in supporting patient care. As a member of our clinical team, you will be integral in ensuring our patients receive top-notch care and the best experience possible in our state-of-the-art facility. There are also scribe opportunities available for those interested in assisting with documentation during eye exams.

Responsibilities

• Assist optometrists with patient care during eye exams, including preparing patients and performing preliminary tests such as visual acuity, tonometry, and refraction.
• Take medical histories and document patient information accurately in the system.
• Perform diagnostic testing (e.g., OCT, corneal topography, retinal imaging) and assist with other in-office procedures.
• Scribe opportunities available : Assist the optometrist by documenting exam findings, procedures, and patient discussions in real time during the exam.
• Educate patients on eye health, glasses, contact lenses, and other related products or services.
• Assist patients with contact lens fitting and provide instructions on proper care and maintenance.
• Prepare and clean examination rooms, ensuring they are ready for each patient.
• Provide support with patient follow-up care, ensuring they are comfortable and informed.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and fully stocked clinical area.
