Overview
Nearly every company in the world runs on custom software for critical operations like tracking performance metrics, handling customer support workflows, building admin dashboards, and other processes. Retool is building the first enterprise AppGen platform that transforms natural language into production-ready code, integrates with business data, and enforces enterprise security and governance. AI is redefining what it means to build software, expanding the developer pool to analysts, operators, and domain experts who create solutions directly. The opportunity is enormous, and so is the challenge of enabling a larger community to build production-grade software safely with shared, trusted components.
Over 100 million hours of work have been automated by developers and domain experts using our platform, freeing them to focus on creative problem-solving and strategic initiatives. The mission is to empower teams to create custom solutions within enterprise guardrails. Let’s build the future together!
Why we’re looking for you
At Retool, our mission is to radically accelerate how software gets built. AI and the rise of LLMs and AI agents change what software is and how it operates. Thousands of companies rely on Retool to run their internal tools and workflows, and many now want to harness AI to make those workflows smarter, faster, and more autonomous. We’re building a platform that lets every business create AI agents that act on real data and systems, and we’re looking for engineers excited to shape this new era of intelligent automation.
What you’ll do
You’ll help build Retool’s Agents product – a platform that lets customers create and deploy AI agents that act on real business data and systems. You’ll define how customers automate complex workflows with LLMs, shape the primitives for agent orchestration and monitoring, and partner with product, design, and AI infrastructure teams to bring them to life.

Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way.
