Financial Analyst I - Central Services
The Pima County Department of Finance and Risk Management is seeking a dynamic and motivated professional to join our Departmental Analysis Division. In this position, you will assist in the development of annual operating budgets and monitor those adopted budgets through monthly analysis, analytical tools, and reporting. Responsibilities include preparing and adjusting journal entries in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), reviewing transactions for compliance with the chart of accounts, projecting year-end financial outcomes, and other detailed ad hoc projects. The successful candidate will work closely with department contacts and gain a keen understanding of the department's operations. Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in accounting, finance, economics, business administration, or a closely related field as defined by the appointing authority at the time of recruitment. (Relevant experience and / or education from an accredited college or university may be substituted.) (A Master's degree or CPA designation may substitute for one year of required experience.) Qualifying education and experience must be clearly documented in the "Education" and "Work Experience" sections of the application. Licenses and Certificates : Some positions require a valid Arizona Class D driver license at the time of application or appointment.
