General Laborer

As a General Laborer, you will be responsible for the installation of insulation materials to control temperature and prevent energy loss in various mechanical systems. This role involves preparing surfaces for insulation, measuring and cutting materials to fit specific dimensions, and ensuring safety compliance by following protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities :

• Install insulation materials on pipes, ducts, and other mechanical systems.
• Clean and prepare surfaces for effective insulation application.
• Measure and cut insulation materials to required dimensions and shapes.
• Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE to maintain a safe work environment.
• Assist experienced insulators with tasks such as material handling, tool maintenance, and site cleanup.

Work Environment :

Work at a typical construction site, requiring steel-toed boots, a hard hat, high-visibility clothing, and safety glasses. Before starting, ensure you have Steel Toe Boots, a Tape Measure, Red Aviation Strips, and Small Channel Locks.

Job Type & Location :

This is a contract position based out of Nevada, Iowa.

Pay and Benefits :

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
