Senior Accountant

A leading manufacturer in Kankakee, IL is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting. This role is critical to ensuring accurate and timely financial data for both local and corporate analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting, experience in a manufacturing environment, and proficiency with Epicor or SAP.

Job Description :

• Lead monthly close and site-level financial reporting within corporate timelines
• Prepare journal entries, manage banking transactions, ACH / wire transfers, and cash postings
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements, along with various balance sheet accounts
• Maintain fixed asset records and support audit activities
• Calculate and reconcile manufacturing costs and inventory
• Support pricing decisions and profitability analysis by customer
• Collaborate with management to improve financial and operational performance
• Partner with sales to ensure accurate invoicing and collections
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting using Excel
