Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position with acute care and call rotation requirements.
Responsibilities
Work in an acute care hospital setting in the Interventional Radiology departmentTrauma Level I environmentPatient population includes diagnostics, embolizations, carotid stents, and thrombectomiesMixed case types, including neuro cases, supported by Neuro IR techsSchedules are 4x10-hour day shifts (7 : 30a-4 : 30p) Monday through Friday with cyclic schedulingCall required 10-13 days per month, including weekends and holidaysMay float within the Radiology department and to other facilities for stroke or IR coverage as neededUses Epic EMR and Siemens Artis Icono equipmentResponsibilities include caring for patients undergoing a range of interventional radiology proceduresMay assist with IV starts, patient transport, file room coverage, and other radiology department tasksTeam includes a charge nurse on each shift and specialized IR and Neuro IR technologistsTwo weeks of unit-specific orientation providedCompliance with a fingernail policy prohibiting artificial nails in patient careHoliday and call coverage duties are assigned on a rotational basisCandidates must provide requested time off (RTO) upfront, with a maximum of 7 days per 13-week contractMust reside more than 50 miles from the facility for considerationRequirements
Active NE or Compact RN license required at time of consideration; pending licenses not acceptedMinimum two years of experience in IR, ICU, or ER required; neuro experience preferredCurrent BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required; PALS preferredMust pass a skills exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90%Copy of driver's license required to verify eligibility for 50-mile radius ruleMust not have been employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities within the past yearBenefits
