Med / Surg Tele RN Job Details

Location : Akron, Ohio (44307) – Ohio nursing jobs

Healthcare Setting : Med / Surg Telemetry Unit

Employment Type : Travel Nursing – Registered Nurse

Contract Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 13 / 2025 – End : 1 / 12 / 2026)

Shift : Night shifts, 3x12-hour shifts per week (7 : 00pm – 7 : 30am)

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1880 - $2020

Registered Nurse Qualifications

At least 18 months of recent, permanent Med / Surg Telemetry RN experience

Active Ohio RN license or Compact State nursing license

Current American Heart Association BLS & ACLS certifications

One supervisory reference (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director) in Med / Surg Tele specialty

COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical / religious exemptions considered)

Completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation

Background check and fingerprinting required

Med / Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality patient care in the Med / Surg Telemetry unit

Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry; respond promptly to changes in patient condition

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans

Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes

Participate in unit orientation, ongoing nursing education, and compliance modules

Maintain a safe, supportive environment for patients and healthcare staff
