Hourly Rate : $28.70-$35.01

JOB SUMMARY : Perform duties pertaining to the protection of lives and property, enforcement of criminal and traffic laws, prevention of crime, preservation of public peace, and the apprehension of criminals.

ABILITIES, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS :

• Knowledge of driving rules and regulations and state and local laws and ordinances.
• Ability to use a firearm.
• Knowledge of modern law enforcement practices and procedures.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license, vehicle registration, and access to dependable transportation (satisfactory driving record required).

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

The following duties are normal for this position.  These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive.  Other duties may be required and assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE :

Employment is dependent on background check, criminal history, physical, comprehension exam and drug screen.  Applicant must complete County application form.
