Summary Of Major Responsibilities :

The Accounting Intern will assist in the day-to-day accounting responsibilities with a focus on account reconciliations and the related Sarbanes Oxley controls. The position is intended to be a full-time opportunity for a business undergraduate to obtain hands-on experience in financial accounting for a public SEC filer.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities :

Include but are not limited to the following :

• Develop skills and knowledge across general accounting sub teams : SEC, Consolidations, Integrations, Cost Accounting, Fixed Assets and General Accounting
• Maintain accounting policies and procedures that are in compliance with applicable government regulations (SOX, GAAP, IFRS)
• Perform or shadow general accounting sub team members for month end close and quarter end close tasks including general account analysis and reconciliations
• Assist in financial statement preparation through account classifications and transactional coding
• Partner with accounting team members to assemble information for external auditors for external filings
• Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements
• Partner with general accounting team on technology and close efficiency projects

Salary Range : $35,000.00 - $56,000.00 The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis.
