This role requires strong hands-on technical ability, leadership skills, and the capability to drive wireless architecture strategies, troubleshooting, and performance improvements across complex networks. The ideal professional will work closely with cross-functional teams including network engineers, security teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure reliable connectivity and scalable wireless solutions. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, deployment, and optimization of wireless technologies and network infrastructure across enterprise environments. Manage and enhance WLAN solutions including performance tuning, RF planning, spectrum analysis, and interference mitigation. Lead advanced troubleshooting of wireless network issues including controller configuration, access point optimization, and security policies. Develop and implement wireless network strategies, standards, and architecture documentation. Perform site surveys using tools such as Ekahau or AirMagnet and evaluate propagation models. Integrate wireless solutions with authentication platforms, network access control, and mobility services. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for network improvements, upgrades, and capacity planning. Monitor network performance metrics, generate detailed reports, and recommend improvements. Evaluate emerging wireless technologies including Wi-Fi 6/6E/7, IoT, private LTE/5G, and mesh solutions. Lead vendor relationships, contract discussions, and technical evaluations of wireless products. Provide technical leadership, mentoring, knowledge sharing, and project support across engineering teams. Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field. Minimum 12 years of experience designing and managing enterprise wireless network architecture. Strong expertise with Wi-Fi standards (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax), RF design, and wireless controller technologies. Hands-on experience with wireless infrastructure platforms such as Cisco, Aruba, Juniper Mist, or equivalent. Proven experience with wireless authentication technologies including 802.1x, RADIUS, TACACS, and NAC. Experience using wireless survey and analysis tools like Ekahau Pro, AirMagnet, or similar. Solid understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, QoS, routing fundamentals Strong background in wireless security including WIPS/WIDS, encryption methods, and compliance frameworks. Experience leading complex wireless deployments, large-scale rollouts, upgrades, and migration projects. Ability to analyze logs, performance metrics, RF interference patterns, and conduct root-cause analysis. Excellent communication, documentation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications Industry certifications such as CWNA, CWDP, CWSP, CCNP Wireless, or equivalent. Experience with private LTE or 5G deployments. Experience supporting IoT wireless architectures and location-based services. Experience working in large-scale enterprise, government, manufacturing, or healthcare environments.
