Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 2 years of experience in cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures for a teaching hospital setting.

Responsibilities

  • Work in an acute care teaching hospital with a Level 3 trauma designation
  • Assignment is in the Interventional Radiology (Cath Lab) unit
  • Responsibilities include diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures
  • Daily caseload per technologist ranges from 16 to 24 cases
  • Day shifts are 4x10 hours from 7 : 00 AM to 5 : 30 PM
  • On-call required : three weekends per contract and one night per week
  • No floating required within or to sister facilities
  • Epic (Excellian) and MacLab / Cardiolab are used; experience preferred
  • Scrubs are provided by the unit
  • Technologists work mainly in cardiovascular and vascular procedures
  • Pre-start modules and onsite training are required prior to assignment
  • No more than 5 days requested time off (RTO) is ideal
  • Candidates living locally are accepted for this position
  • Return staff must have a 3-month gap after their last shift as perm or per diem before being eligible
  • Day shift parking is available for a fee; details regarding parking to be provided at onboarding
  • Fingerprinting is required prior to start in accordance with MN state law
  • Holiday call coverage may be required per department needs

    • Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years recent experience in cardiac and vascular interventional procedures
  • BLS and ARRT certifications required
  • Experience scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating in the Cath Lab required
  • Epic (Excellian) and MacLab / Cardiolab experience preferred
  • Open to first-time travelers
  • License required if applicable
  • Must provide at least one supervisor reference for consideration
  • Must be eligible to work if not a past perm or per diem employee within the last 3 months
