Travel Nursing Job Details

Location : Midtown Atlanta, GA 30308 (Georgia nursing jobs)

Assignment Type : Travel Nursing

Unit : Medical Surgical (Med / Surg)

Shift : Night shifts, 12 hours each

Hours per Week : 36

Duration : 13-week contract

Number of Openings : 2

Start Date : December 15, 2025

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1,590 - $1,710

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Georgia or compact state)

BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)

ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift)

Minimum 2 years of bedside clinical experience in Med / Surg or PCU

PCU (Progressive Care Unit) experience required

Previous experience in Select Specialty Hospital or acute care setting preferred

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission

Develop individualized care plans and provide patient education

Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses

Participate in rehabilitation programs and discharge planning

Communicate patient status changes to the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care

Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees

Promote patient and staff safety by following hospital safety protocols

Foster a positive team environment and participate in unit team-building activities

Assume charge nurse duties as needed after orientation

Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education
