Job Title : Ironworker

Job Description

This position offers the opportunity to learn and grow with training provided for all necessary skills. Candidates must be able to read a tape measure and blueprints and should be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions. The role requires working around cranes and rigging up I-beams, as well as connecting I-beams to columns. Comfort working at heights while always tied off on a scissor lift is essential.

Responsibilities

• Work with structural steel that supports building construction.
• Connect I-beams to columns.
• Operate cranes and rigging equipment safely.
• Use power tools, torch, hot saw, tape, and basic iron-working tools proficiently.
• Safely operate boom lifts, scissor lifts, and telescoping forklifts.
• Lift up to 100 pounds with repeated bending, lifting, twisting, and climbing.
• Read and interpret blueprints and layouts accurately.

Work Environment

The work environment is primarily outdoors and involves exposure to the elements, requiring comfort with dirty and dusty conditions. Projects are located in Minneola, KS, Junction City, KS, and an upcoming project in Springfield, MO starting in mid-March to early April 2025, which will be a prevailing wage job.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $33.00 / hr.
