Key Responsibilities :
- Advise and represent clients in complex real estate transactions, including acquisitions, sales, leasing, financing, and development.
- Manage land use and zoning matters such as subdivisions, rezoning, variances, conditional use permits, and related appeals.
- Represent clients before municipal and zoning boards, as well as in administrative and court proceedings when necessary.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal documents including purchase agreements, leases, and development agreements.
- Conduct legal research and develop strategic solutions for land use and real estate challenges.
- Collaborate with attorneys and professionals across practice groups to deliver high-quality, client-focused service.
- Stay abreast of evolving laws and regulations impacting real estate and land use in New York.
Qualifications :
J.D. from an accredited law school; active membership in the New York Bar.4+ years of real estate law experience, with an emphasis on land use and zoning.Background in real estate litigation is a plus.Demonstrated ability to handle complex real estate matters independently.Exceptional research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and project management abilities.A collaborative mindset and client-first approach.A portable book of business is preferred and will be discussed confidentially.Compensation & Benefits :
Competitive base salary : $200,000 – $250,000, commensurate with experienceComprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, retirement plans, and professional development support.
