Serves as a catalyst and role model, providing administrative leadership and direction. Responsible for allocating the available resources to promote autonomous, effective, safe, cost-efficient, and compassionate quality care. Facilitate an atmosphere of interactive management and the development of collegial relationships among nursing personnel and other disciplines, as well as with the healthcare community. Qualifications : Required : Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing7-10 years of direct experience in the field as a licensed NJ RNBSN with 2 plus years experience in a nursing acute care leadership role or must be enrolled in a BSN program in NLN accredited school, must be completed within the 1st year of starting the CAC or Nursing Supervisor roleAdult Critical Care and / or ED nursing experienceCompletion of all orientation requirementsPreferred : Master's Degree in NursingNational certificationCertifications and Licenses Required : Current Registered Nurse License in the state of New JerseyBasic Life Support through the American Heart AssociationAdvance Cardiac Life Support certification through the American Heart AssociationScheduled shifts : Per DiemDays or NightsWeekends and rotating holiday commitmentsEssential Functions : The Nursing Supervisor is accountable for the acute care environment and must create learning experiences that are open and respectful, at the same time promoting the sharing of expertise. This ability to enhance the practice environment is critical to the recruitment and retention of all staff.
