Assisting in the operating room with elective, acute care, and traumatic surgical cases. General Surgery and Elective / bread-and-butter general surgery procedures for an adult patient population.
As a Physician, you will have the opportunity to provide comprehensive care and treatment for a wide range of health issues including, but not limited to acute care, physicals / wellness exams, diabetes checkups, and hospital follow ups.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Mix of impatient, clinic and OR responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of trauma surgeries, including emergency procedures for complex injuries. Demonstrate expertise in managing critically ill and injured patients.
- Provide acute surgical interventions for a variety of urgent and emergent conditions
- Collaborate closely with attending surgeons and advanced practice providers
- Perform surgical procedures and provide OR support as needed
- Prescribe medications and perform procedures within scope of practice
- Conduct thorough assessments, diagnosis, and develop treatment plans for trauma and acute care patients. Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to optimize patient outcomes.
- Facilitate referrals, transfers, and community resource connections
REQUIREMENTS
MD degree with at least 5+ years' experienceHold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician's field of practiceMD or DO DegreeBoard-Certified General SurgeonCurrent, unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registrationEDUCATION
